In July 2020, the average employment in the enterprise sector was 2.3% lower. y / y and amounted to 6252 thousand. The average monthly salary (gross) was 3.8% higher. y / y and amounted to PLN 5381.65, the Central Statistical Office announced. However, the number of people working on their own continued to grow - the InfoCredit index remains strong. A similar trend can be seen in August (until August 17).

The GUS data describing the situation in the labor market were better than forecasted. No wonder that, since it is harder to find a job, Poles start business on their own.

In July 25 640 business activities were registered, 10 088 were closed. 15 182 activities were resumed, and 11 370 were suspended - according to CEIDG data. The InfoCredit microenterprise index, describing the ratio of new operations to closings, reached the value of 15,552 points, remaining close to this year's record and the highest values from 2019 and 2018. The index describing the relationship between renewed and closed operations fell to 3,812 points, but remained clearly positive. It has been above 0 for the third consecutive month, which has not happened since the beginning of 2018. Earlier, in 2019 and 2018, it was positive only twice.

In August (until August 17) the InfoCredit index is still in the black. Until August 17, the IC index shows +8131 for new / closed activities and +1230 - resumed / suspended.
